Lifestyle

A lot has happened since I published the last post here on this blog. The major change was our move from New York area to Dallas area. Moving away from the place that you called home for almost 12 years is never easy. The hardest part definitely was saying goodbye to our friends. Also, leaving behind our house that we spent a lot of time, finances, and effort to renovate and make it look like our favorite place, was another sad part but life is about changes.

Dallas, Texas

Those of you who follow my blogging journey over the years must noticed that I've been absent from my blog and social media (for the most part) last two years. Not to get into details, I would say, sometimes we all need time for self-reflection and prioritizing things that mean the most and I realized, how much it means to me to have this space on the Internet where I can share my thoughts and experiences with you. Now the main question:

What's the plan for my blog and social media:

Blog: I will be publishing a new blog post every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Instagram: I am back on my Instagram too, where I will be posting a few times a week, so, if you are not following me on Instagram yet, you can do so here _ Nina_Kobi. I will be showing around the new location  and basically, we will be exploring Dallas area together.

Youtube: Surprise! Yes, I'm starting my very first Youtube channel where I will be uploading new videos three times a week It would mean world to me if you could check out and subscribe to my Youtube channel Nina Kobi Official  . I will be posting new videos three times a week.

Thanks for reading.

Fall/Autumn is probably one of the best seasons for memorable and spectacular photoshoot for your entire family. Today, I want to share with you a few ideas where to do your Fall/Autumn family photo shoot:

Fall Foliage

You should always take advantage of this colorful season and find the best Fall foliage in your area to have Fall family photoshoot. There is nothing more beautiful in Fall photos than color-changed leaves in your background (or falling down like in this picture where my daughter is posing in Fall photoshoot)

Blooming Sunflower Trail

One of the most beautiful props for your Fall photoshoot can be blooming sunflower trail. If you can also incorporate something yellow in your family outfits, it would look even more spectacular.

Corn Maze

Another great location for your Fall photoshoot can be corn maze _ not only your family will have fun finding their way through corn maze but it can also be a great spot for your Fall photoshoot.

Pumpkin Patch

How can we talk about Fall photoshoot props without mentioning one of this season's iconic photo prop like pumpkin. Wether you go to pumpkin patch or just have one or two at home, you can always incorporate them in your photoshoot.

Happy Monday lovelies,
I hope everyone is safe and staying home. Honestly, I was not sure, it was appropriate to blog during the hardest time of our life when Coronavirus hit the world, and destroyd our everyday routine,  and most importantly, took so many people's life...
But after first few week's of shock _ seeing how this vicious virus affected New York City that is only few miles away from our house, I realized that social distancing was already so hard for people that if we stayed away from social media/blogging, it would put us in absolute social isolation and that is never safe for our health.

New York City

So, I decided to continue blogging as a way of getting our mind off the shocking news we all read every day, and at least, couple of minutes a day, enjoy reading the topics that we used to enjoy.
I hope, we will be able to stay positive even during this kind of horrible time and remind ourselves that we will get through this.

Please, stay home, and stay safe!

As years pass by, my habits about makeup are changing and I decided to share with you what are the things that I have been doing differently this year.

I buy less makeup
Yes, I buy less makeup nowdays. Just the fact that, from being VIB ROUGE at Sephora (with my over $1,000 beauty purchase a year) I have become Rouge and I'm on my way down to Beauty Insider, says it all.
I've been throwing away so many beauty products over the years because I just couldnt use all of them, that I realized, it was time to start buying the things that I would defintely use. Of course, I still make an impulse beauty purchase time to time, but overall, my trips to Sephora has dramatically reduced, LOL.

I apply less makeup on my face
I used to wear full makeup on a daily bases, that's the habit I brought to USA from my home city, 10 years ago, but this year I started to wear less makeup and couldn't be happier. Of course, I still wear a full makeup if I go to any meeting or other important places but on a daily bases I just apply my sunscreen, concealer under my eyes and lipgloss.

I only buy high end beauty products
I remember, every time I would be in any drug store, I would buy tons of makeup products that  would either irritate my dry, sensitive skin or they would other way disappoint me, so this year I officially stopped buying drugstore makeup because when you are in your thirties, you can't afford too many experiments on your sensitive skin.

No more full coverage foundation
Even if I have to wear full makeup for any reason, I don't wear full coverage foundation anymore. I think, full coverage liquid foundations don't work for my dry, sensitive skin anymore, they look cakey and heavy on my face so I only apply light (sometimes medium) coverage foundation.
