There are no words to describe exactly how it feels like to be back to your home city after many years. The minute you land at the airport, you can feel your heartbeat goes up, you feel happy, excited, and overwhelmed with the desire to see everyone and everything in your city right away.

Tbilisi, Georgia |
Just to hear your native language everywhere _ reminds you that you are in your home city _ where you were born and raised, the city that has shaped you as a person you are today, the city that holds a lot of memories of happiness and sadness, success and failures, hopes and disappointments...
At the same time, you see that your home city has changed drastically. It's not exactly the city that has lived in your precious memories for years. Change is good, but it can make you feel like you are a stranger, as if you don't belong to this new version of your home town anymore, as if other people had took over the city you grew up in. But your heart will not accept the changes _ it will continue hold on the memories of the home city that you grew up in...
Anyways, here is a video of my trip to Tbilisi, Georgia. Even though I didn't get a chance to film a lot, I hope I still captured some interesting moments for you.
Such a beautiful town. When I left my city alot change before I got back.

I'm so glad that you got to back to your home town after so long. I haven't been back to my home town for over 20 years, but my family moved away too.

I can completely relate to the feeling you described as a stranger in a city you once knew. I felt this way when I went back to San Francisco, it has changed quite a bit since I left as a kid. Still there is a feeling of nostalgia in some parts that I still recognized that were still the same as when I lived there. Lovely post!
